Hello everyone, I have PCOS. I have had two I.V.F. One in 2009 which failed 21 eggs 4 embryos. 2011- 19 eggs only 1 embryo transfer on day 3 Jan 28, 2011 this one embryo had only 5 cell. Just so disappointed and sad and the doctor did not make me feel better. Well my questions is has anyone had luck to a story like mine.
Typo in my last response I wrote lol
I wrote "bottles" (I must have babies on my mind) meant...."not able to assist my spouse at all or even do the SIMPLE things".
Hi,
I have definitely had my nervous moments throughout this IVF cycle. It was also my first, but was not our first procedure trying to attempt pregnancy. We had also gone thru an IUI process also, but that was unsuccessful.
We also did the lupron abdominal injections, along with Bravel injections, Medrol pills, Folic acid & prenatal all prior to our egg retrieval last Friday January 7, 2011. Like I mentioned earlier I am on complete bedrest since our embryo transfer Monday January 10, 2011. This has been the hardest part for me personally. Laying only on my back, little to no movement; not able to assist my spouse at all or even do the bottles things for myself has been a challenge.
I am very anxious for our results next Friday the 21st, fingers crossed that this time around we get our positive result :-D
Even moving to use the restroom and stand up has made me nervous....I definitely do not want anything to interfere with the embryo attachment. As you said, I really don't want to even get outta bed until the actual test LOL.
Of course I will keep you posted. This will be our great news to report a positive ;-) I am very hopeful and feel this time we will get our baby(s).
Hi ladies... I don't have any advice because I am just starting my IVF cycle.. I am on day 9 of my Lupron injections... I can say that I am nervous and excited... This is my first cycle of ivf... I have had 2 tubal pregnancies and both my tubes removed one at a time.. I am mostly worried about that 10 day wait after the transfer... I know that I am not going to want to do anything for those 10 days... I wish you the best of luck Jennifer_Sandra.... I would like to know how everything turns out if you don't mind...
I'm going to try & wait out these next 10days w/o taking a home test, but hopefully the curiosity doesn't get me :-)
I just rather hear the right answer than a false negative or positive....hopefully these next 3 days of complete bedrest will hurry by and then comes the test at the end of next week.
Thanks again for all for answers, you've been a great help today!
it was our first IVF that worked. failed IUI and 3 early m/c in 7 years prior to that.
i started testing at home 7dp transfer (10 dpo)
the 7 days after was BFN, but got my first BFP 8 days after.
no signs of implantation or pregnancy-the progesterone you are taking can cause all kinds of symptoms. you just have to wait until that test...
Thank you for your encouragement :-)
Was that your first IVF cycle that you went thru and was successful with your daughter? Was there any signs of plantation at all? Did you wait till the blood test at your Dr or did you take an at home test prior?
As I'm sure every1 always is, I am very anxious to hear the positive result. I do not want my spouse to hear anything other than that. After the unsuccessful IUI I had a hard time talking my spouse into going thru IVF because of the sadness and disappointment that IUI process was.
Thank you again for your responses :-)
Bedrest definitely leaves a lot of time to just think hehe
all you can do is take care of yourself and think positive thoughts. My RE only did 24 hours of bedrest, then I resumed normal activity. I would follow your doctor's advise though since it is their protocol.
We did IVF with ICSI (no assisted hatching) and a 3 day transfer with 2 embies.
I am typing this with my 11 day old baby girl in my lap :)
so it can happen. think positive and good luck!
