8 day post embryo transfer

Today is the 8th day since transfer.  I've got terrrible pms symptoms like sore boobs and been having pains in my ovaries practically all week.  I also feel quite hot on times.  I havent been able to stop myself crying the last few days as well as I'm convinced I'm going to start my period.    This is my 2nd attempt at icsi and I'm 39 next month.  I had 2 eggs transferred with none left for freezing again:o(  Do you think I should take a pregancy test today?  Feeling so depressed and emotional.

Last time it failed I only made it to day 10 and I started to bleed.  I'm feeling the same way I think just way more emotional than ever.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Dont Fret. I am a guy from india. Came to know last month that i was an azoospermic. Carried out IVF for my wife with donor and is now on her 8th day Post ET. The Desire for your own child is too great . I know it is difficult. But it is better to accept and realize the fact that what has happened is what was deserved. So, dont get emotionally stressed out. We ourselves would be opting for adoption in case our case flip flops.

Have patience and faith in god. Since time is a healer. Accept life as it comes and dont struggle with it much. Everything will be fine.

Given your state of mind at the moment, I would not take an hpt.  Chances are it's too early, and if you get a negative it certainly won't help your mood.
If it helps at all, I went through 3 IVFs at age 39, never had any embryos left for freezing, and I'm currently almost 26 weeks pregnant.  Don't give up based on your symptoms-our bodies play all kinds of tricks on us.  Best wishes!

Hello!   So sorry to hear that you are going through this and feeling this way, BUT those symptoms are also very promising of a BFP!!!  the twinges in your ovaries are probably from the stimulation from the drugs (which pregnancy makes that worse! : )  so maybe they are continuing to grow since there is hcg in your system????)  and all the other symptoms could be from hormones, but also defintely from a BFP!  What day transfer did you have? i would think 8 days is a little too soon.. i would try to wait (then again i'm the worst at that, so i'm not one to give advice there!)  Youre defintely not out by any means and everything that you say sounds promising that you are preg and that it did work!  I"m sending you lots and lots of super sticky baby dust and prayers for a soon to be BFP!!!! keep me updated and good luck!
