Ovulation Bleeding...is this normal

I ovulated (b/w confirmed) Sat or Sun.  Yesterday and today I'm having very strange bleeding.  Yesterday it was spotty brown and gritty and today it's almost like a light period.  I called the dr. office, and the nurse says this is normal, however, this has never happened to me before.  This ovulation cycle was very different as well.  It was painful (almost like AF, but with more of a pulling sensation.

Has this every happened to you before.  I would love as much feedback as possible.

Thanks for your comment.  Yes, my ovulation pain was definately heavier then normal (almost unbearable) - usually I just have some discomfort durning ovulation.  The bleeding didn't start till after I ovulated (had bloodwork done to confirm).

It does appear that the bleeding has gotten worst, almost like a full AF.  My RE office is closed now, but I will definately be calling first thing tomorrow morning.

It's funny you say that because I am going through the same thing right now!  I'm not spotting too too much but the pain of ovulation this month was incredible!  I mean, I tolerate pain very well but this was unusually bad!

But, to your question, I think it is/can be normal.  However, if the bleeding persists over the following days and gets heavier I would definitely speak with your Dr.  That would not sound normal to me.
