Congrats on your BFP!!! (I am currently in my 2ww) but sorry to hear about OHSS!! WOW! I would definately talk with your doctor about med changes and why. I'm sure the med-team knows what their doing, but you NEED to be involved in all changes...after all it is your body and pg! Good Luck!

Unfortuently I got severe OHSS after ET and ended up in hospital for over a week and a half! But... I am pregnant! 1 baby seen in sac with good heartbeat, so grateful as don't think I could do it again after OHSS - was awful!

LOL well I say baby, a tiny bean! Back next week to monitor progress.

Concerned though as stopped my progesterone and only last week they said I would need it for 12 weeks as I have hypogonatrophic hypogonadism!

Instead they have put me back on blood thinning injections, should I be worried? xx xx

Not many symptoms. Just incredibly tired all of the time. I nap a lot and I usually never nap. I also pee constantly. Seriously, like 2-3 times an hour. It's ridiculous. But I'll gladly deal with it!  Second beta today. 2000. Unbelievably excited. And I get to discontinue progesterone injections. Praise the Lord for that!

My first IVF cycle was last month. Had 2 5day blastocysts transferred on May 28th (30 were retrieved and all but 7 fertilized. so we have 21 frozen) and confirmed on June 8th that I'm pregnant! Going in on Thursday for my first visit, SO excited!

The only "symptom" I ever took a big notice to was that my sense of smell increased dramatically (I work at a vet office & when techs would open up dog treats, it was almost as if I was eating them)! Now, I'm getting more into the nausea thing & being tired 24/7.

Good luck!

Thanks for all your comments, I have had 2 blastocysts transferred, one good quality, one ok... Had quite a lot of cramping since, achyness and sleepyness and hunger (though that was probably because I was so nervous prior to ET I had not eaten for days! lol

I am hoping and praying they stick!

Congrats to all of you that have had success with day 5 - has given me hope :) xx

ps. did you have any particular signs or symptoms?

I am back at work Wednesday so have 48hrs to rest up xx

I had 30 eggs retrieved, 23 fertilized, most made it to day 5 but not all were great quality. I had one great quality 5 day blastocyst transferred and it worked :) I have 4 more frozen. Best of luck to you :)

I had 2 transferred day 5 and was just confirmed today that I'm pregnant! Beta was 600! We are hopeful both took but just so happy to know we're finally having a baby.

Best of luck to you!

Sure, you can ask me whatever you need. This was my second cycle of IVF. There is no medicine for these amazing long two weeks, just wait breath and wait. I was working during that time, the same as now, and I think that helped me in some way. You will be fine !!

Thanks hun :) No doubt I will be on here all through the 2ww stressing about every sign! lol

I have been worried about the day 5 thing more as at my hospital they don't freeze blastocysts for some reason so will be devasted if there are lots to choose from and they have to dispose of some :(! One of the reasons I was going to choose day 2 was so we had freeze option but they they must want me to go to day 5 for a reason and I heard it is average for 50% to make it so fingers crossed they keep strong for me.

I am hoping for a 2 transfer but sorry to here you lost one :/ .....but also wishing happy times for you and your one little bundle of joy :) xx

All sounds really good !! You have to trust your medical stuff, they know what they are doing. My case is : 25 eggs collected, they did ICSI in 13, 7 were fertilized,  but only 2 were good enough to transfer at day 5, they waited for one more day and see what happened with the rest but none of them were good to freeze, I remember how sad I was that day. There are not twins, only one made it !!!
Keep us updated !!! good luck !

Hi there!

Thanks for the positive encouragement, I go in Sunday for the ET.
I was originally meant to be going in day 2 but on the morning they called and said 8 were going strong so want to do ET on Sunday, I've been worried sick they won't make it but I am sure they must know what they are doing as they didn't mention that they may not make it just what I have read online!! I started with 17 collected, 10 fertilised and day 2 - 5 good, 3 average and 2 poor.

I am hoping they will transfer 2 but not sure what the policy is at my hospital xx

Are you pregnant with twins? Congratulations!! :)
