Thank you so much for the encouragement.... I am praying that everything works out for us.. Even though I just started the injections, I started taking a lot of safety precautions months ago so that I would be in the habit...
I was successful the first time I would say .. I have PCOS and I did a fresh cycle where we did injections and grew the follicles and I hyperstimulated bc I responded so well to the meds so they didn't transfer an egg so the first time that I had the eggs transfer was a FET about about 2 years ago and it resulted in my DS who is now 17 months old ... I just did another FET at the beginning of December and am 7 weeks along in my second pregnancy. I got pregnant the first time each time so there is hope .. People do get pregnant the first time of IVF. I made sure that I cut out caffeine a few months before doing transfer and I also went to the chiropractor the day before the transfer .. Then I rested for 48 hours after the transfer. Now I just am going about my normal life.
Hello - sorry to tell you but I don't know anyone that has been successful the first time. That doesn't mean that it wont happen for you. I just think that doctors/patients take a lot more care measures the 2nd time around. Most docs advise of bedrest the day of transfer and 1 day after then you can resume normal activity. However, I have found through my own story and others that taking a good 4-5 days of rest works best. I had 5 days bedrest the 2nd time and I have not lifted more than 10lbs for4 wks after transfer. So basically everyone is different however, the more safety measures you can take the better. After all the results you are looking for is a baby - it is worth the precautions at first.
