Back to back ivf's

The doctors office called me a 5:30 last night to tell me that my beta was negative and then they said I don't have to skip a month that I can start back up with the ivf.  Has any one done back to back ivf and how was the outcome?  Did you use the same medications or used different ones?

The first Dr I saw made me have one natural cycle then start birth control pills again.  This new Dr (if this current cycle doesn't work) will let me start bcps right after AF comes.  He still considers it a rest month, but puts you on the pills for that month so when you go off you can start the stims.  So it kind of is back to back.  I changed drug protocols with all three cycles and got a different response each time.  The meds are mostly the same, just how they are used changes.

I guess you could say that I sort of did a back to back IVF program. I took all the meds for an IVF cycle  but as we got closer to retrieval my RE thought we could do better with the number of follicles so we converted to an IUI and my beta was on a 3.  The very next month I started up with the meds again but my RE did change my protocol to include estrace and clomid along with the gonal-f.  That cycle I produced more follicles so we went forward with IVF and I am now 8w3d pregnant!

I'm sorry about the BFN.
I know my clinic does not usually back to back IVF but a lot of others do that(I guess my clinic problem is only that they have to many patients).
I think what they do though is an appointment with your RE to discuss new protocol or new cycle with same protocol.
I would insist with them about having a conversation with your DR.
Good luck!
