Calling All Women of Strength!!!

A Strong Woman VS. A Woman Of Strength

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape…
But a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape.

A strong woman isn't afraid of anything…
But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear.

A strong woman won't let anyone get the better of her…
But a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.

A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future…
A woman of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be unexpected blessings and capitalizes on them.

A strong woman wears a look of confidence on her face…
But a woman of strength wears grace.

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…
But a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.

Hi Girls!
Well we have our second appointment in about 4 more hours.  I wish I could say that I am excited about it but I'm not.  I am too scared to be excited.  What if they tell me that I am not measuring far enough again?  What if that means that my greenbean isn't growing fast enough?  Too many what if's!  If all does go well than we have a big weekend ahead of us.  We have told most of our family and friends but we have not told my 8 year old step son or his mother.  We wanted to wait until we were out of the 12 weeks and the doctor said all systems are a go.  LOL.  We told him earlier last time and after we lost the baby we had to explain to him that there wasn't a baby anymore.  That was really hard.  In all his innocence he looked at me and asked if the baby went to heaven.  I cried and told him yes.  He went to be with God and his other brother or sister.  The simple truth is...I can't go through that again.  I've been crying all morning.  I just don't want to go.  I know everyone else looks so forward to going and seeing the bby and and the doctor.  Not me, nope.  I get down right depressed about it.  This isn't the happiest time of my life like it's supposed to be.  :(

On top of all that.  I generally try not to vent but...my DH's very close grandma fell yesterday and shattered her hip.  They told us if they don't do surgery she will have about 2-4 weeks to live before her lungs fill with fluid and she passes in a lot of pain.  If we do the surgery to fix her hip then she only has a 50% chance of making it through the surgery b/c of her heart.  G is a DNR so if there are complications during the surgery they have to let her go.  This is very hard for us to swallow but it was her decision so we must respect it, right?  This grandma and DH birth mother that died when he was only 3 were very close so he has always been close to her.  She is the only one that ever told him about his mom.  He is very sad but still trying to be upbeat for me and the baby.

When it rains...it pours!  I'll try to post tonight but we are going from my doctors to the hospital to see G.

Just a quickie, have to get ready for work. I posted this in the preg. 18-34 forum so here's a copy of what's going on with my scan.... ARGH!!!!

The office is always so busy so I asked the nurse AND the receptionist about getting orders for my bio-phys scan (where they measure and check everything). I got two different answers one saying that at my next appt. I'll get the papers to do it. Well by then I'll already be 23wks. So I called the office on Wed. morning and just asked them if they could fax the orders to the hospital and that the hospital booked my appt (yes, I called) for this coming Monday at 1230. They then proceeded to tell me that I won't be getting one and nobody gets them unless something comes back funky on the Quad Screen results... WTH?????? I thought just about every doc. ordered them b/c it was important???? So then I told her about when I was p/g with my son, the scan had picked up on something growing on his brain that wasn't picked up on a reg. u/s. and that I had to go back 6wks later to see if it had resolved (thankfully it had.). They still didn't care!!! I want this scan done!!! Any advice???

Hi ladies! What a day it's been! So glad to finally be off work! :)

Mommyin10-Happy 12 weeks! :) Sean and I are doing so much better! Isn't it amazing what communication will do!? lol :) It's like, you feel like they should know why you're upset, but sometimes you just literally have to spell it out for them! He is a great guy, that's why it was so upsetting to see him act any less than that, ya know? Anyway, awesome idea about the quilt!! How cool and memorable is that?!! I can't wait to see it when it's complete! What kinds of things are you writing on the quilt peices? I hope you enjoyed your day off yesterday! :) Post pics soon, seriously! I can't wait to see how cute your belly is looking these days! ;)

sbumblebeeo: Thanks! :) It's so true, almost like their last minutes of childhood or something!? I'm definately not the controlling type, and I don't complain to him unless it's something I feel seriously strong about so he knows when I do get upset it's for good reason. We had a long talk and I really do feel much better now that he understands. Like I told mommyin10, sometimes it just needs to be spelled out or something for them, or at least my husband anyways! ;) I'll be thinking of you tomorrow! Update asap and hopefully you'll get an u/s! I can't wait to see your little one! :)

dnikki- Hey, that's awesome your scan is on Monday! Then you can REALLY do some shopping! lol ;) Be sure and post pics after your appt, I can't wait to see her! ;)

Mrspace- I'm sorry that you and dh aren't able to go with his family for his birthday, but I know you'll make it an extra special day for him! :) Hopefully AF will start on it's own and you won't have to resort to provera. What day is your appointment next week? We'll be praying you get good news and can start excercising, and then can really get down to business ttc in a few months! :) I know, 26 weeks already, can you believe it!!? We only have 10-11 more weeks to go, which is absolutely awesome!! I can't wait for her to be here, I'm SO ready!!!! :) Hope you start to feel better soon!

Scripps- We'll be thinking of you for your appointment tomorrow! Update asap!!

Rachjas- Hope you are doing ok! Check in soon, we miss you!

Good morning everyone. Sorry I've been MIA for a little while.  I came down with something this week and it kicked my booty just a little.  I'm back at work today, and going in to the general doctor this afternoon.  My mom is under the impression that I have the swine flu or that h1n1 virus.  I don't know if it's the same thing or not.  I told her that I have bad allergies/sinus/cold c r a p.  I get it every year during ragweed season, so I'm pretty sure that's what it is.   I feel much better today, so that is good.

Tomorrow is DH's birthday and I am so frustrated.  We don't have a lot of money so we can't do much.  Which is fine.  He's the kind that would rather chill at home and BBQ and watch football anyway.  Well, I'm frustrated because we had plans.  His whole family (mom dad sister and us), we were all going to Minnesota to a Twins game.  Well, DH couldn't get anyone to cover his weekend work schedule (just a Saturday morning shift).  So now we can't go, but his family's going to go anyway and just miss their son's birthday.  It really made him sad.  So I am trying to get them to come over Friday night just before 11, to have a mini-surprise party for him.  Just the family, cake, ice cream... When he walks in the door from work it'll be a surprise.  But they don't know if they'll come because they need sleep before their long drive in the morning.  Ugh, just makes me sick.  But it's okay!  I'll make it an awesome birthday.

As far as all my TTC stuff goes.  I should be starting AF any day now, if it's going to start.  I don't really feel like it's coming but we'll see.  Typically (when not on meds) I either don't have AF or it's around cd35.  I'm cd31 today.  So we'll see what happens.  If it doesn't start soon, I will have to go back in and get Provera to get it started.  I go in next week anyway, to check on my ovary again and get the 'ok' for exercise.  I'm so excited about that!  I want to lose some serious weight, and hopefully I'll be able to.

dnikki- I'm so excited that it's a little girl.  And the name Peyton is just too cute.

luvkayln-26 week?  Holy cow the time has flown.  I can't believe how close it's getting. I can't wait to see her!

mommyin10- You're almost to your second trimester!  How exciting!  I can't wait to see more u/s pics of those little sweethearts.  Thanks for being so supportive all the time.  I did get my cell phone bill worked out.  We have 7 weeks to pay the bill, which we can do.  It was just a mess.  One of those things.

sbumblebeeo- congrats on 12 weeks!  I bet you feel so great!

keyan-  My fingers are crossed for you.  How exciting that you can TTC again!
