Wow! It's nice to know you're not the only one with this problem!
Shennie-I hope it gets easier for you working with the teenagers. It's got to be really hard doing that job for people who don't realize how lucky they are and that there are people out there that would do anything to be in their shoes. I don't feel so "abnormal" now with my horrible cycle. I can't help but get excited either. Hopefully this will be the month for you!
Mslady-Congratulations and thank you for giving me hope! I'm hoping I only have to go through this second cycle. If nothing happens by next month then they'll do more tests on both me and my husband. I hope you have a happy and healthy nine months!
Jessie-I'm only on 50mg. My doctor said if I didn't get a + OPK last month she would increase it to 100mg but hasn't done that. We'll see what happens this month. Good luck to you tomorrow! I hope you get a + with the OPK and a miracle to go with it!
SSBD to everyone! Thanks for lending an "ear" (or would that be eye) and letting me know that I'm not alone. Good luck to you all!
Im on my 2nd round of Clomid, 100mg cd3-7. The only reaction I had from it was having night sweats when I was sleeping. Other than that I am doing pretty good. The 1st round I Oed on cd18 and I still havnt this cycle but tomorrow will be cd18 so Im hoping for a +OPK.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask. For the most part, everyone on here is great to talk to. Good luck!
I JUST FOUND OUT THAT I GOT PREG ON THE FIRST ROUND OF CLOMID I WAS ON 100MG CD 3-8. I DID HAVE SIDE AFFECTS I HAD REALLY HAD HEADACES, DIZZNESS, NAUSEA, THE HOLE NIN YARDS IT LASTED TILL 1 DAY AFTERI STOP USING CLOMID
HOPE THIS HELP
WISHING U LOTS OF LUCK AND BABY DUST
I only had a normal cycle on NuvaRing too.
As much as both of our cycles suck, it is nice to know someone else has had the same issues.
I do have a 11 year old I conceived when i was a teenager and back then i was irregular too, to the point that I was quite some months pregnant before I realized I was.
I guess that is what gets me the most confused, upset beecause I never tried back then. I mentor teen parents and it is getting harder for me to do it right now even though I love it, but they just don't seem to appreciate how lucky they are.
(((virtual hugs)))
Same here. As many let downs as I have had I try not to get my hopes up but it's so hard! My cycles have always been crazy. The only time I've ever had a normal cycle is when I was on NuvaRing. I just hate how it's so much harder for us to get pregnant than it is for other people. I just read where Clomid didn't work for someone on here and I'm trying not to let it get me down.
Wishing you baby dust and sticky vibes.
Our cycles sound very similiar especially the CM all the time thing. Even this cycle when I started actually noticing it, I went straight to having CM even though everything I read says it should start off dry about menses,
I try not to get to excited about getting a BFP on the first cycle becaus eI don't want to be dissapointed when I don't but everytime i read about someone who did do it I can't help but get excited.
I'm on my second round of Clomid. Actually I'm on CD24 and according to the OPK's and my temperatures I ovulated on CD17. But the OPK's are unreliable for me because the line never gets really dark (like my doctor said it would). Last month I had sore breasts, bloating, headaches, nausea, dizziness, etc. Turns out they were symptoms of my period coming and I didn't ovulate. They started about CD18 and so far I haven't had any symptoms. I have never had any symptoms indicating that my period was coming before so it was a first for me. I also never had a normal period (cycles were anywhere from 22 days to 56 days long) and I had CM all the time. I was never dry. Clomid is actually making my CM more noticable and I can differentiate between all the stages, so I'm hopeful and excited about that.
I probably should have told everyone this in my original message. I have a couple of friends who got pg with Clomid within their first 2 cycles on it (and the only reason one of my friends didn't get pg the first cycle was because her and her husband went on vacation with their families and didn't have any privacy to try). So baby dust and lots of luck to all of you!! Hopefully we all can come back on here with good news!
Thanks.
I actually started the OPK's on CD 11 because I figured I'd probably O sometime CD14 on. I got a positive OPK on the last one I had (of my 7 pk) and then stopped OPK'ing after that positive. My OBGYN had told me to BD CD 12, 14, 16. If I hadn't relied on BBT and OPK, I might have stopped BD"ing at 16 (which wouldn't be so super considering I ovulated on CD18)... but when I got the positive OPK on CD 17 I BD'd that night too. I would def. use an OPK -- and splurge the $30 for the digital ones with the smiley faces. I know it seems like a lot of money, but they take out the guesswork and tell you the two best days to BD.
Good luck to you. Hopefully it'll only take one cycle of Clomid for us!!
Congrats on the "on time" ovulation, did you use an OPK? if so what day did you start testing?
Lots of Baby Dust and hope that you will never have to use those refills :D
I am on my first round of 50 mg Clomid. Took it CD 5-9 and am at CD21. I ovulated on CD 18 so I'm 3 DPO.
I had very long cycles (over 50 days) and some months didn't seem to ovulate (based on BBT, etc). I was thrilled to ovulate "on time" this month.
I got very very mild hot flashes and frankly, I got some kind of yeast infection type of thing which I'm attributing to the hormones but who knows. I'm hoping to conceive this month but have two more refills just in case.
I am on day 4 of Clomid right now.
This is my first round...so far no symptoms
