D&C

I have been unable to become pregnant and was advised to do a number of tests. My blood work for TSH and Prolactin was good, my HSG was good. However my doctor suggests that I have a D&C done. Hawever i have noticed that this procedure is normally undertaken after miscarriages or abortions....Is this necessary in my case. Please note I have started having painful periods for over a year or so and my sex drive is extremely low. Can a D&C offer any help?

Thanks for the support cause I am secretly scared of having it done. My dr didnt mention Laparascopy but i really hope that the D&C will do the trick.Hopefully it will help with my period pains since i have severe cramps during that time but my period is always on time like clock works.

I think it's worth it to have a D&C, you never know. Did your doctor say anything about a Laparascopy as well?  It is great news that your HSG was good, that is a positive sign!

D&Cs are good for "cleaning" yourself out.  I know a woman who had one because of her periods.  I suppose this might help.  I'm sure your doctor wouldn't suggest it if it were harmful or not necessary.
