Distal Tubal Occlusion

Hi, I'm 31 and TTC no# 2. I recently had a HSG test done which showed Distal Tubal Occlusion at my right tube. I no longer have my left tube due to an ectopic pregnancy during baby no# 1 (2010). Three months after my ectopic, i conceived again (from the defected right tube) and successfully given birth to a healthy baby girl. Now 4 years later, i'm diagnosed with the above. From what i read online, Distal Tubal Occlusion could stem from untreated chlamydia or PID. I never knew I had those and was never screened for either. My question is, would I still have dormant Chlamydia/PID in me which caused my infertility and if so, could antibiotics kill them? Is the damage from PID to my tube reversible? Many thanks for your kind advise. I do not have enough cash right now to seek a gynae hence my question here. Thank you.

HI,
Pelvic infection is one of the important causes of distal tubal occlusion. Infection leads to extra-tubal and intra-tubal adhesions and thus cause tubal block. The infection can be cleared with the help of antibiotics. However tubal damage may not be reversible. Surgical procedures like laparoscopy can help assessment of the tubal block and also try to remove the blockage. Consult your gynaecologist.
