Drop in hormone levels after IVF

I had IVF implantation on Sunday the 3rd.  Today I had blood work done at the Dr's office and my Estrogen and Progesterone levels dropped "a smidgen" according to the nurse.  They are having me increase my Progesterone shots from 1cc to 1.5ccs and get an Estrogen patch.  The nurse says that this doesn't mean that the procedure didn't take but I am worried.  It sounds like a bad sign.  My question is for other people who have had IVF.  Has this happened to you?  Did it mean you weren't pregnant?  I am being paranoid or should I prepare myself for the worst?  I have had IUI twice and this is my first IVF.  I am bankrupting myself in the Baby Quest and I am starting to get really discouraged.

OMG, I had my blood test this morning and it was POSITIVE!!!  I almost can't believe it!  Now I am all paranoid about miscarrying.  I don't want to do anything to mess this up.  I have no idea what the normal ranges for the progesterone and estrogen are but I do know that I have to be on both for at least 10 more weeks.

Hi,

My transfer was on 5/5/09 and my estrogen dropped slightly too. My estrogen at day 3 after transfer was 278 and then on day 5 (with the patch) went to 458. What is the "normal" range for estrogen after transfer anyway?

How are you holding up during the 2 week wait? I am going crazy!

My estrogen dipped a little too - I believe we just added another patch.  I did end up getting pregnant and delivered last April.  Try not to stress too much - it's hard to know why these things happen - good luck on your beta and SSBD - jen
