Estradiol/Estrogen blood work

Does anyone know why my bloodwork would show my estradiol at 385 and 900?  The first blood work I had done in May it was 900 and now the bloodwork I had done last week showed it was 385?  I had the blood done on CD3 both times...what does this mean?  i have searched the web and it said on CD3 your estradiol should be under 80, mine is way too high.

Thanks for your comments...I checked the reference and the highest reference is 400 and that is for a different time I had my blood drawn.  Mine should be under 80 for the time I had it....that's why I am so concerned.  What does high estradiol mean? All other lab results look perfect.

I don't know exactly how to explain it, but my lab results will say 95, but my doctor will say 9.5.  It must have something to do with the 'per mL', I'm guessing!

I don't know if that's the same situation, but maybe one explanation!  I do agree with John, though - just ask them to explain! I'm sure it's an easy one (otherwise, I'd think that they would be freaking out, too - LOL)

Reference ranges are unique to different labs. Your test should show a reference range for each thing tested. As for the difference between each test that is normal. Your hormones fluctuate alot. They should have explained it to you completely. Think of all the questions you want to ask now and write it down, then bring it with you trust me.
