3 early miscarriages: how common? How treatable?

Hi,
I have managed to get pregnant each of my last three cycles, and have miscarried each time. I would like to know how common this, how hard it is to diagnose, and how treatable it might be.

I went off the pill 6 months ago. My cycle has ranged from 23-27 days since then. With the first miscarriage, I got the positive hpt on day 24, and started bleeding on day 27. In between, I had a beta of 6 on day 25. The second miscarriage, I had various positive hpt's but did not bother with bloodwork. The third time, I had multiple positive hpts at Day 24, an almost negative hpt on Day 25 (very faint line-much fainter than the day before), and then my beta was <5 on Day 26. I spotted on day 25, 26, 27. I am at Day 27 and am awaiting more bleeding.).

I do have an appt with a fertility specialist in two weeks, but of course, the suspense is killing me. Am I hopeless?

So,

i know it is difficult to find out your are preg just to find out it was chemical a few days later....but isnt that one of the things that happens when we have a period...even if the egg is fertilized it may not implant properly or even at all.  if it didnt implant properly then you should get a bfp.  i know right now i just got af and was 10 days past normal af.  but according to ewcm (O) i shouldnt have started til the 5th...and i started 5 days late from there.  i figure either IUD messed me up, or it could have even been chemical, cause i had the nausea, sore bbs, and very tired and all.  so idk but i am sure that if there is anything going on that shouldnt be, that your doc will find out and fix it if he can.

good luck dear and let us know

A pregnancy that ends around the time you're expecting your period (or soon after) is usually called a chemical pregnancy, and from what I've read, they're very common. It's just that most women won't test until after their periods are a few days late, so they won't even know about it. Not sure how common it is to have three three months in a row, though...but you're definitely not hopeless!

Take care, and best of luck with your appointment!
