Neg. HPT but still pregnant? Can it happen?

I am 19 dpo (cycle day 48!) with no AF. Have had cramping for two weeks, sore bbs and high temps for me. Took HPT Sunday morning on FMU and it was negative. Haven't tested since. I am wondering how common it is for a woman to not get BFNs until well after expected AF...or how common it is for a woman to only get positives with blood work? I'm 27, and have never missed AF before. I'm wondering if I should go see my obgyn or keep waiting? Thank you all.

When i got my beta done last month, my RE called a lab to have them do the test. Then they called my RE with the results. Maybe your ob could just call a lab in your area, and you could just go there. Make sure they do a beta test, where you get numbers instead of a yes or no. There are 2 different types of blood pregnancy tests you can get. Good luck! I hope you are pregnant, it's sounding to be so! Af still hasn't showed, and your temps are still up.... lookin' good!  :)

can any doctor do the blood work? i just called about 10 obgyn's in my network and the soonest i can get in is a month from now! one told me i could get in on September 9! What the heck. I was like, "well id hope by Sept. I would have my answer." she didnt laugh.
anyhow, wondering if my primary care gal can do this just as easily?

I never show up on HPTs until late in my pregnancy. I have 2 kids and with both of them I kept getting BFNs and then had blood done and got a BFP. Both times my levels were low in the beginning and the Dr told me to expect the worst, but nothing bad ever happened. They are now 12 & 13. It's just the way my body is. I never show up on a HPT until about 9 weeks. So, if you still feel you are PG, I suggest you go get a BETA done.

I haven't tested since Sunday morning when I got the BFN. I am waiting to test Wed or Thursday, which would be a full week after expected AF. Something weird is going on down there. = /

I would go get a beta done... it's always a posibility to get a BFP Beta but BFN HPT. Good luck and keep us posted!!!

I cant believe it!  I was really expecting a BFP.   You are having a beta on Thursday right???
