Femara and PCOS .........

Hi, I am also on the dosage of Letrozole from D3 to D7. I wanted to know, is it always effective to take this medicine . I also suffer from PCOS. I am on second cycle now and had my MC on CD27 with pre-menstrual  discharge on CD26. It lasted for 4days only , so how do i get to know if I actually ovulated or not ?
I used OPKs on CD 10 and CD11 both in the evenings but got very faint line so cant even depend on that to know what happening in my body?
Is there anyone else who has similar issues ?

Thanks for sharing dear and I really hope all goes well from now on. Probably I feel a bit stressed due to the anticipation in the TTC phase, you know what I mean.
Can I ask you , with Femara was your cycle length and O day affected ?
I'm also charting and realised that probably i am Ovulating on CD11.What about you, did the u/s reveal something similar?

March was my second cycle with Femara.  I just got my BFP after 2 years TTC.  I didn't notice many symptoms of the Femara...we knew it was working because I had ultrasounds on day 10 (first cycle) and day 11.  I did an IUI in February (didn't work) and March (like I said, BFP!!!).  I did try Clomid a year ago...don't know how well it worked for me because my OBGYN at the time didn't do any monitoring...but I did get some nasty cysts a couple months after stopping it.

Good luck to you!!!

With the above medication, I seem to have put on weight and become quiet moody. Have headaches in the evening usually on CD17 and CD18 and a bloated feeling most of teh days , have observed this in the last few cycles. Is this common with Femara or Progesterone. A bit worried bcos, I also have PCOS and with the weight increase it might hamper my chances of conception. Any advise anyone ?

Hi, Typically ovulation monitoring is carried out along with ovulation stimulating drugs like Letrozole. The monitoring can be done through external sonography but infertility specialists prefer vaginal sonography to find out the exact date when you ovulate and also the size of follicle(s).
