Fertility After Miscarriage

About 7 months ago (Sept. 15), I had a miscarriage with my first child. My husband and I would like to start trying again, but since then, I have only ovulated once (I temp, check cervical fluid and cervix, and use a fertility monitor). That was last month. This month is looking like another annovulatory cycle. I have tried raspberry leaf tea, maca root, royal jelly (but I can't do that one any more as it makes my allergies horrible. I know it is probably good for me, but the reaction I get outweighs all benefits). My husband and I will wait a few more months before we actually start trying as he just started a new job, and we are waiting until the insurance has been in affect for at least 1 month--so a minimum of 4 months waiting. But I am beginning to get anxious. How much longer before I should be ovulating almost every month?

I have had annovulatory cycles (along with irregular periods) since the miscarriage. Before that I had gotten very regular. I also had a hard time m/cing. My body did not want to let go. The doctor deemed it a blighted ovum (early pregnancy loss) because there was no baby in the sac, but my uterus measured 8-10 weeks at 15 weeks. I was almost 20 weeks by the time I m/c'd.

can I ask how do you know that you have annovulatory cycles? do you have irregular periods or you just dont detect the LH surge on fertility monitor?
If the underlying cause for not getting pregnant is annovulation, your doctor can put you on pills like Clomid, and you should be able to conceive.I would suggest to fillow up with a doctor and possibily a reproductive endocronologist. You are very young, and I am surethey can help you.
Best of lucks.

i am so sorry to hear about your loss :-(
Have you began seeing a RE (fertility doctor)?  7 months does indeed seem like a long time and things should have probably been back to normal by now.  It also sounds like you may have PCOS, where one of the symptoms is not ovulating each month.  I am definitely not sure so seeing  doctor would really help answer your questions and kind of lead you on the right/next path.  Hope I helped a bit :-)
