First Day of Clomid

This is my first day of Clomid.  My doctor prescribed me 50mg of Clomid, 100 mg Prometrium and 1 mg Estradiol.  Does anyone know how the Clomid is suppose to make you feel?  Thank You and Good luck to everyone!

Well for me the 1st round was awesome no side effects or anything,everyone said i was always so happy.(m/c at 8weeks) However the 2nd round i wasent so lucky, I had every side affect there was...Mood swings,hot flashes,headaches,weight gain and insomnia, but i got threw them and now im at the 2ww . good luck to you! ~*~*baby dust~*~*~

Hye guys try to remember not to use your doctors names on here it is restricted. Also to wantingababy2007. My side effects from Clomid are nasty headaches almost as if I have a sinus infection allday everyday. I am also on estradiol and prochieve like you and those could cause some heavy mood swings just worn your poor hubby who will suffer from this.

I you have any questions just send me a message. I did clomid 4 months  2 w/ IUI and 2 w/o IUI. It works for alot of people but just don't stay on it for more than 6 months. I think if it doesn't work after 3 months then it probably won't work. Atleast if you go talk to Dr. Lu he can let you know your options. I am very happy I went to go see him. He is really nice and his staff if great. Good Luck this month.

He did his SA 5 months after his surgery.  Thanks for the price.  I guess I will just have to wait and see if Clomid does the job or not.  I figure if I don't have BFP in about 3 or 4 months than I will see about going to talk to Dr. Lu.

How long after the surgery was that SA done?  That is still a good increase from 15% and it will probably get better. My husbands motiltiy was 45%, 55%, 50% and 10% ~ 2 SA's and 2 IUI's, so it can vary alot. Hopefully the next SA will be 50% or above :) IUI is $425.00 and that includes sperm washing

OMG!  When we went back to my husbands doctor after his surgery, his motility was only 35%, up from 15% before the surgery, his doctor said 50% is normal, but now that I'm reading on here, I'm not so sure.  If you don't mind me asking.  How much is IUI per procedure?

Before going to a fertility specialist DH, and I tried the preseed. He loved it!! He said was the most natural, unnatural thing he's ever experienced.

Due to other reasons we didn't conceive, but I'm sure if we had the proper ingrediants we would have! Best of luck on the preseed!!!!

Yes we are doing IUI. I will start my injections tomorrow. Our last IUI my husbands motility was 80% which was the highest it has ever been. It has only been 2 months since his surgery so hopefully it just gets better. Our insurance doesn't cover anything either. We are paying for everything and it is hard. But Dr. Lu will write up the initial visit as something other than infertility so insurance will cover it.

I'm seeing Dr. Graham in Metairie, been with him since I gave my daughter up for adoption 13 years ago.  I told my husband though if I miscarry again which would be the third time, I'm going to a fertility specialist.  Dr. Graham actually referred me to Dr. Lu in Covington when my husbands doctor sent over the wrong SA and he thought nothing had changed.  Are you doing IUI?  The only reason I'm scared to see a fertility specialist is the cost involved.  I think my husband and I have the crappiest insurance out there and they don't cover anything.

I was just seeing my OB in metairie Dr. Bone but now I am seeing a fertility specialist at the fertility institute Dr. Lu. He is really good if you have to move on but hopefully you get your BFP soon. What Dr are you seeing?

You can buy it online at preseed. com or just search preseed and a bunch of different sites sell it. Or you could try taking evening primrose oil after you take the clomid. You can buy it at any pharmacy. Or you could just wait and see how your body reacts to the clomid b/c it may not dry up your CM. Everyone reacts differently. Are you seeing an OB or a fertility specialist?

Preseed is a sperm friendly lubricant (sp?).  It will help greatly if you get dry cm.  I ordered mine on line.  No prescription need.

My doctor in his words just tells us to "get busy" from the 10th to the 20th day of the cycle every other day.  What is preseed?  And where do I find it?

Are you doing IUI or timed intercourse? If IUI it won't be a problem, but if intercourse then you will probably want to use preseed or take evening primrose oil to help with CM

Thank You so much.  I find myself a little dizzy already, don't know if that is just in my head or not though.  With my CM being dry is that going to cause a problem with conceiving?

I took 50mg clomid and it made me kinda dizzy and it made my CM very dry, other than that it wasn't to bad. Good luck this month. Hope you get your BFP!!!!

Everyone's body responds differently.  Like you I was on 50mg of Clomd.  I had pretty bad hot flashes (especially at night), very irritable, and dry cm.  I would definately try using preseed when bd, if you are not having an iui, it makes it so much more easier.
