Hello,
Was it a copper IUD or Merina? Copper IUD does not affect your periods nor does it affect your fertility. A woman can conceive anytime after its removal. If you were using Mirena you may take to adjust to the changing hormone levels. It can take one or more months for the period to normalize after Mirena removal. After Mirena removal the menstrual cycle will return or it may go back to the way it was before the IUD was placed. It can delay fertility once it is removed but it does not inhibit it altogether. You may take some time to conceive. Consult your gynecologist.
Best of luck and regards!
