DOING IUI - DRUGS & POSITIVE PREGNANCY RESPONSE TOO EARLY THEY SAY??

hi there,
ive had iui with injections done on jan 24th and im due for period on wed 9th feb, so ive done a pregnancy test today, its come up positive, ive been told it will not be valid unless i try on monday? why is this?

they said that the trigger would stay in the body system up to 14 days i would really recomended that you wait 2 more days and retest again but in my opinion your BFP seems REAL for me , do a beta to be sure of it

thank you for your help.  Yes I did the trigger shot on the 22 or 23rd and thats 12-13 days after, I did a test today and its come up positive...... ive been told by them that by monday if i do a test it would be fairly confident that its a correct result.  being anxious I tried today and will try again on monday, so fingers crossssssssed!!! thank you very much for responding back to me, part of me doesnt want to get my hopes up, and the other part is just simply excited with seeing the positive results......I do hope im not disappointed again.

Did you do a trigger shot to ovulate? If so, then that contains HCG, the same hormone that our body produces when pregnant, so a pregnancy test will come up positive for up to 10 days after whether you're pregnant or not. That's why they usually recommend waiting until it's been at least 10 days from the trigger before testing. Good luck to you!
