Has anyone taken femara to thicken lining? Any success without taking femara and IUI?

Hi- I'm 29 and have been off the pill since march 09 with no luck getting prego on a natural cycle.  DH's count is normal, my tubes are open and I ovulate on my own.  I just had an endometrial biopsy last week and AF came today.  I'm pretty sure the results will show that I have thin lining due to my extremely light/short periods.  I'm going to start femara this cycle.  Has anyone taken femara w/o IUI and had any luck? Any advice? What kind of side effects should i expect with femara?

I took Femara and got pregnant when also doing injections. I had unexplained infertility. It appeared my eggs were not maturing on their own and I kept getting cysts. I am now 19 weeks pregnant. My treatment was femara, injection for 3 days, HCG shot and IUI. Your doctor will find a treatment that will work for you. Keep your hopes up. I remember choosing to not be stressed out about whether I was going to get a positive or not and it worked for me.

Good Luck!!!

UPDATE:  Dr called back and the results from my biopsy show that the lining was the amount that it should be... so... has anyone taken femara for unexplained infertility?
