hi,
today i called up my nurse to know the procedure, as my cycle is in march,
she told to continue the BCP and on feb 24 she will tell my detail of treatments and medication ,etc,
very much excited and nervous
What's next depends on your protocol and protocols vary from clinic to clinic. I am surprised you do not know what's next since you need your meds ordered in advance.
Hi !
Heather is right. You should ask to the nurse if you are going to have an antagonist or agonist cycle.
In the agonist cycle after BCP you start Lupron and then stimulation. With the antagonist one you go directly from BCP to stims.
best of luck on your upcoming cycle!!!!
Hi! I have not done IVF yet...but I'll probably be moving in that direction within the next month or so. I think the next step after you start taking the birth control is to start lupron to suppress the ovaries. Once they're sufficiently suppressed, you would start on the injectable medications. I believe most women are on the injectable meds for about 7-12 days before they're ready for retrieval. Best of luck to you!
P.S. I'm not sure how the different protocols work, but some doctors use antagon instead of lupron for suppression.
