An update

Well I haven't written on here since before my gyno appointment. My doctor placed me on Clomid 100mg, for the first round. I had finally received my period on my own the same day that I seen him... Nov 9th. Told me to start the clomid on Nov 11th and to take for 5 days. I've had a lot of side effects from these pills. I've already had hot flashes before taking these pills and now they've intensified by 110% I've been nauseated, tired, needing to run to the bathroom every 15 minutes and also with the nausea I noticed that when I eat I don't feel nauseated and if I stop eating for about a half hour the nausea comes back now that's strange didn't see that anywhere in the side effects.. I'm hoping that I would only have to do just this round of it because I don't think I'll be able to handle another round. Has anyone ever did 100mg for the first round before?? Any success on first round? I am so nervous. My husband and I have been TTC 2nd child for 15/16 months now. If first round doesn't work, we think that we're just going to wait for a while before we try the second round. I have mild/moderate:borderline endometriosis. I've had a tumor in my left ovary which caused me to not have periods on my own for over a year. I'm just really hoping that this helps me.... crossing fingers and praying that it works on this round. I'll give another update after my lab appointment for pregnancy test next month (my doctor made one for me so I don't have to wait in line, take a home test then a blood... it's just going right to blood test to see). My hopes and faith are high. So wish me luck!!!!

Well I took an early home test. It was negative. Tested 4 days before my expected period. Maybe I tested too soon or my levels just isn't high enough to be picked up. I guess I'm going to wait until I'm supposed to go get the blood work done. Don't want what I seen this morning depress me. I am definitely not doing Clomid again. I had way too many side effects and my gyno was supposed to watch me through it and didn't. So I'm going to take all natural fertility pills next fall. Going to give my body a rest from taking these messed up pills. I'm hoping and praying though that maybe I tested too soon. But we'll see later on this week if not next week. Still going to keep my head up high and continue on whether or not this pill worked or not. :)

I too am an early tester!  With this pregnancy I took femara(no side effects) and tested at 11dpo.  Good luck I hope you get a BFP!

That's exactly how I feel. I could never stay feeling cool longer than 5 minutes. I had hot flashes before taking the clomid and the clomid increased it so much that I literally have to step outside to get cool and it is 20 degrees out right now where I live and sometimes when I go out I still don't feel the coolness. I feel sorry for my husband at night. I toss and turn, flip off the covers but them back on at least 40 times every night since I took the first dose. I finished the pills on the 15 of Nov and I barely sleep at night even with my sleeping pills due to these hot flashes. My mood has been a roller coaster with them but I keep it cool in front of my 2 year old son. If I felt the urge to flip out with these hormones I end up telling his daddy to watch him and go in the shower so I basically take like 5 a day lol. Or I'll step outside, don't know how I can control it when all I want to do is flip out and maybe slap a few people even with something they say that I normally laugh about. But I think I'll survive. Thank you and I'll let you and everyone know how my sneaking of the home test does on this Sunday :) I don't think I can wait until the 8th to have the blood work done....

Thanks. Yeah the side effects are outrageous. It's kind of worth it though. If it doesn't work this time around I'm thinking about waiting until next fall to try again. I also decided that I don't think I'll be able to wait until the lab appointment for the blood work lol. I'm going to sneak in a home pregnancy test this Sunday hehehe. I'm hoping it worked and that we had all the timing right. Still keeping my faith and a positive attitude whether or not it worked. :)
What kinds of side effects did you have? I ended up having more side effects than I listed above. I did have a little bit of swelling and a little bit of abdominal cramping and feeling a little bloated but some of the side effects decreased. I now only have hot flashes, breast tenderness and just a little bit of bloating.

Good luck! reading your story sounds a bit familiar, although the side effects weren;t so bad with me
