Hormone test result

Hello Ladies, i got the report of hormone test back today and i'm confused. pls can you tell me what you think. all the samples were taken during my lutheaphase

LH  5.7IU/L

FSH  4.2IU/L


PROLACTIN  216mIU/L

DAY 21 PROGESTRONE    53nmo1/L  (dr said i didn't ovulate this circle but i kind of think oh God pls let it not be true.)

I already made up my mind, i'm giving up on clomid. the side effect is awful. i'm definitely going to consider other options. Clomid is not working for me. I have a 3.5 cyst in my left ovary as a result of clomid.

HI. I took clomit for 6 cycles and never ovulated. Then i changed doctor and went to an Re and he also  clomit+injectables. Is a combination of 5 days clomit + 3 or 4 days gonal f. I didn't do an IUI i don't like that much instead i had a trigger shot and had intercourse the same day as the hcg and 2 days after that. I did this method 3 times and got pregnant each time. The first two ended in m/c and my Re did some tests to see why the pregnancy was not continuin. I'm currently pregnant again and hope everything goes well this time. Don't do clomit for a long time see other options more powerfull.Good luck

thanks 4 ur  post, My dr only mentioned ovarian drill, I'm going to ask him for the injectibles and iui. if you don't mind can you pls tell me a little bit more, i mean  how does it work.

my progesterone was 10.3 cd 17, and i didnt think that was great, i was taking femara and my dr hoped it would be higher, so she wants me to try femara again this month.

The protocol that seems to be the most successful with PCOS is with injectables, and IUI.  Have you talked with your dr. about injectables?

thaks for your post, I have pcos and this is 5th circle of clomid+metforming and  only ovulated ones according to my dr. the blood sample was taken during my lutheal phase( day21 to be precise).

I'm thinking of trying something else. My dr said not take clomid+met more than six circle. Any idea of what might work for pcos.

was this your day 3 pre-infertilty test? if so I do know that your FSH looks great. They said the closer it was to 10, the more ovulations issues you have. Mine was a 9.2 meaning I'm getting old and things are working harder than they shoud.

My progesterone was a 3.3 but they want a min. of 10. Not sure waht a 53nmo1/L means. Again, my 2 tests combined means that ovulation is a little difficult.

No worries, that's what all the fine drugs like Clomid is for. At least it's a relatively easy management.
