was it painful for them to take one tube.... how soon did they take it?
Thanks lady
Hi there,
the tubes test is pobably a HSG where the doc will push fluid into your fallopian tubes to check that they are not blocked. Take 600mg advil 30 mins before test is due, it helps. Mine did hurt but I had a VERY blocked tube and they tried to unblock it with the fluid but it didn't work. - some peoples are okay and not blocked and report no problems.
I looked on my pain and blocked tube as good - at last they had found something wrong with my fertility. (my tube has since been removed so am down to one tube now) - meeting with doc tomorrow to see what to do next.
Hey Hun,
A postcoital test checks a woman's cervical mucus after sex to see whether sperm are present, moving normally & if you have enough cervical mucus for the sperm to move in. Not every doctor does this test because some feel it doesn't give information but I did have it done with one of my doctors as the first step. As far as the RE looking at your tubes the only thing I could think of him doing that day would be an HSG to make sure you have no blockage in your fallopian tubes & there is a little discomfort & it depends on the doctor and how well you take pain....to be safe I would take pain reliever before I went in (the RE usually tells you to anyway). I hope that helps. =)
