How will my OBGYN react

Last month I had a non-surgical abortion; now I am going to go talk to my obgyn about going on birth control, I know I should tell them and will but I am scared about how they will react.  I just started goin there a year ago and so I feel weird.

I saw my primary doctor for knee pain and had to tell her because I was on medicine for the abortion and wanted to make sure she knew.  She wasn't rude, but I guess just shocked....not much eye contact after that.

I guess I just want to know if Doctors put personal views aside with all patients.

Thanks

She did apologize. It was an honest mistake.

You really need to inform your gyn that you had an abortion. It should be documented in your medical records in case in the future you encounter fertility problems. Please inform your doctor you want to go on birth control pills. Doctors take an oath to take care of their patient to the best of their ability. Do not feel nervous or ashamed to disclose this information to them.

Apology accepted, but in the future hon, please look were you are posting... I believe it was unintentional and you explained it is your first time on here.... Try to search this site for a forum related to your question - but as I said you really shouldn't care what your doc says. If you need the b/c, then you need it....

I would say that this thread would be better in another forum, this is a fertility forum for people who have been trying to get pregnant for a very long time they may not take well to someone having an abortion and posting about that.

Since your tread is not fertility related.

But I would say alot of doctors let their personal views thru cause they are human too.

Why would you post this on a Fertility site?
