I Think I have good insurance???

My Aetna insurance is in New jersey one of the mandated states, I work for a hospital... Lifetime Max of $15,000...I think but am not sure of deductible it might be 70 or 80%. They cover 2 transvaginal exams, 1 ultrasound, estradiol 2x, Gonadotropin (fsh) and (Lh) and (HCG) 2x and also Progesterone 2x's. BUT! I have a seperate prescription coverage by Medco. I checked all of the possible fertility medications that i could be on like... Gonal-f, menopur etc...
and they are all covered by my script plan. My RE has a different lab, Quest diagnostic but they told me thats the only lab they use. When I got my initial infectious bloodwork done it cost me $300. Also I have to pay for an injection class $250. and my hubby semen analysis, $400, and his bloodwork $300.. I work in a hospital with a lab for bloodwork, I dont see why i should have paid the $300 for my bloodwork or any..??? But give me your opinion on my ins??

Thanks!

Consider yourself lucky.  I also live in a mandated state, Maryland.  However, I have not been able to get the insurance company to pay because I am employeed by the Federal government.  Make a long story short I had to pay $7000 for my IVF.  The price was originally $9500 but I wrote a letter to my RE explaining to him that we could not afford that price and the medication.  For my meds I had to do mail order and order a 90 day supply even though I didn't need it.  While it seems like waste.  I am going to donate it to the office if I get a positive so that someone else with no coverage can get some use out of the new bottles.  I also had to pay for three IUIs out of pocket.  Try to negotiate with your RE.  You would be surprised.  Best of luck to you.
