I was just confirmed by the RE that I do have PCOS. She was shocked that my OB was not treating me for it. They told me that my bloodwork did not show I had it, but I had the cysts in my ovaries, the cystic acne, the weight gain, etc. So I just found out and I am so glad that I know what's going on. I felt a like I was making too big of a deal out of it by the way they were treating me. Really need to get a new OB I think. I will ask my RE about metformin.
To all: I am glad our TWW train is growing. Welcome ladies! It's nice to have others to share this with. My situation is rather different in that we just happened to find a viable follicle when I had my first consultation with the RE. She said that occasionally women with PCOS do ovulate. I pray that this is the one. We were trying to adopt for the last year and had 2 failed adoptions b/c we were not well informed by my OB of our options. My hubby has 2 varicoceles and now I wish we would have researched more. We just heard of IUI about 2 months ago by a friend who got pregnant her first time. I am absolutely exhausted on the shot and the Progesterone capsules. It feels like someone is squeezing my uterus, but I'm just hoping that the Prog capsules are building up my lining for pregnancy. Positive thoughts to all you and I do hope God hears all of our prayers! SSBD to all!
I just read my post and I realize I am repeating myself througout this thread. Sorry. I think I have fake pregnancy brain! Here's to hoping I get the real thing next weekend!!
