IUI & selective reduction

Hello All...my husband and I have been ttc with fertility meds for one yr now. After the first visit to the Dr without any meds (other than trigger shot) we got pregnant. But after 7wks...there wasn't a heartbeat :-(. Anyway now we are going o try our second round of IUI. Yesterday I went to dr and he said he wanted to cancel my cycle due to around 7 matured. He also recommended selective reduction.  I'm really nervous.. What do you guys think about that procedure? I would LOVE twins...would be ok with triplets..but not sure about anything over that!!! HELPPP!!

Thank you!! Yes it is a very hard decision to make, especially after a long road of disappointment, but we had our IUI this past Sunday and we have to wait 2whole weeks to find out if any of them took!! So anxious and nervous at the same time! Good luck to you also!

I have heard that with a selective reduction more can be reduced than you would like. I was told I could of had triplets on our last frozen embryo transfer and that it could be life threatening to me but my husband and I decided not to do the reduction no matter what because we couldn't stand the thought of that. Unfortunatly none of them took so we didn't have to worry about it any further. Good luck to you on your decision.
