Last ivf cycle i took lupron in the stomach and my stims in the arm, I only produced 5 eggs last cycle, which failed. She wants me to do them in the arm because im overweight, has anyone else had to do this??

I was thinking that! I see alot of people using the thigh instead of the arm, and my DH goes to work before me and he would have to help me! thanks! im going to ask my RE..OH! yes i am starting another cycle... My Re said i should be ready for retrieval maybe end of Jan to beginning of FEB.. Just ordered my meds i will be on lupron, then bravelle and menopur..

I only did the stomach, but I've heard the thigh is usually the second recommended place, then the arm (this is for subcutaneous shots in general). So did they think it would be more effective using the arm since you're overweight? It seems like it would be harder to do the arm, since you won't be able to use both hands (one to pinch the skin and one to inject the meds). Are you doing another cycle? Maybe you could ask about using the thigh next time, if they don't want you to inject into the stomach.
