Intercourse during 2 week waiting period after ivf

Hi all.  When is sexual intercourse permitted?  This is my 5th IVF and i'm 7 days past the transfer date.  In the past I had sex a few days after the transfer and sometimes get a little bleeding afterwards.  I'm tired of fighting my husband off  but I don't want to do anything to start the bleeding.  This ivf seems a little more promising than the past ivf's.  I did have the cramping, bloating and pain for the first 6 days after transfer but now I have severe stomach pains everyday.  I hate to go to sleep because I know the stomach pains are coming.  Thanks

I agree with moorebaby.  We were told to wait til we see the baby's heartbeat!  At your blood test, you can check with the nurses; but especially if you're feeling crampy, let your body rest a bit more :)  Good luck!!!

I had the extraction on Saturday and was advised that after the transfer I should not have intercourse.  The nurse even warned me that if the pregnancy test came back positive, intercourse wouldnt be allowed until the pregnancy sonogram 21/2 weeks after that.
