Laproscopy Surgery

So, my Lap. is scheduled for Dec.22nd.  She wanted to do the surgery on Nov. 10th, but my DH is going to be away.  Dec.22nd was the earliest due to her being booked up.  My DH wasn't exactly happy about that date because of the holidays, but I didn't want to change it.  Her next available appointment was Jan.26th and I did not want to wait that long.  It's weird because deep down inside I'm hoping they find something wrong that is causing me not to get pregnant.  I just hate hearing that it's unexplained because if you don't know what it is you can't fixed the problem.

Every month I get af around the same time and it seems like it going to come around the day I have my Lap. in Dec.  Can you still do the lap. surgery if you have af?

I had my lap done one week after my AF and I havent had AF since then.  AF=sept12    Lap/D&C=sept19         no AF since.....  I think you should go ahead and get the earliest date so when your DH returns yall can have a clean sleet to try for that lil bundle of joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE SOONER THE BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had mine done on cycle day 5 and was still having a light flow. I don't think it matters, since the procedure is performed through the stomach cavity, while the bleeding is from inside the uterus. Best of luck!

Yes you can still have it done. They put my on BC for I believe 2-3 weeks before it. However, my body didn't react normally to it (of course) lol...and I kept my AF the WHOLE 3 weeks. Anyway, they were able to do the lap! It was a little embarassing to me...but basically they layed this big blue pad looking thing under me and I put a normal pad in between my legs (sorry to sound so graphic).
As far as you having it done 12/22/08 - I'd say you will be ok for chrismas =) I was actually just a little sick to my stomache the day of the lap...but was up and walking around as normal 2 days later. It will be uncomfortable but nothing you can't handle. You will most likely get "gas" pains in your shoulder the day after/2 days after...that was prob the worst part of it...otherwise it's not that bad =)
Good luck...if you have ANY questions don't hesitate to ask!
I was told by the RE..."i'm not really pushing for the lap because i'm very reluctant to say i'll find anything"...WELL he found a SEVERE case of endo with me...so bad he wasn't able to remove any of it...i'm not on femara/aygestin treatment. He didn't think i'd have it because, growing up I was always told all my pain/exhaustion/clotting/cramps/body aches were normal - so I never complained to him about it!
Anyway, I was listed as "unexplained" like you, and I am SO happy I did find out what's wrong with me...

I think so - my lap is scheduled for next wednesday which is on the 28th day of my cycle - so my doctor knows exactly that I might get AF on that day - but he said it doesn't matter and it is even better to have the procedure at the end of your cycle. Good luck to you.
