I too have pcos and if you have any questons you can ask me.I went to the doctor after 2 years of trying and as ALT she never did a sonongram.Just different blood tests. She gave clomit but the only way that she was monitoring if a was ovulating or not was by termperature. I took clomit with her for 5 cycles and according t my temp. never ovulated. Then i went to a Re thanks god he is a really good doctor. He explaind to me what was my condition and i also have found a lot of help on this site too.Since with him i have been pregnant 3 times but m/c all 3.The thing with our condition is that there is a higher chance of m/c cause of the hormone imbalances.Even after a ton of test we didin't found anything so problalby the reason was the egg quality.Last summer i went through my first IVF cycle, failed and now i'm starting my second one.

Good luck to you!  I'm sorry this morning was a BFN but does that mean you're definitely out?  I really hope that it works for you.  I also hope that they are monitoring you with ultrasounds and blood tests to make sure the clomid is actually working and to make sure you don't get any cysts.  That was the biggest nightmare for me - fighting with my doctor to get him to do his job.  He initially sent me packing with 3 months worth of clomid, metformin and some provera to start my period and said "come back in 3 months if you're not pregnant" - unbelievable!  So by cycle 2 I found out through the lovely ladies on this forum that they should be doing a 7 dpo progesterone level to confirm ovulation.  I had to FIGHT them to get them to do it!  Sure enough, when they tested the second month - I had NOT ovulated!  I was SO mad!  Who knows if it had worked the first month?  Then I found out I should be getting ultrasound monitoring to check for cysts (ESPECIALLY with PCOS) - I was told (insert snotty voice here) "we don't DO ultrasound monitoring!" - well, let's just say for the following 3 cycles the ER became my new second home.  I had cyst rupture galour!  AND at that point I had convinced them to do one ultrasound a month, but it wasn't enough!  They just did it right BEFORE ovulation time, which is not when the cysts form - they happen AFTER.

I'm not trying to scare you - I just want to make sure you have the proper care.  Plenty of women with PCOS use clomid without any adverse consequences.  It seems I just have exceptional luck!  I have a lot more details in my profile about all the fun stuff that's happened during and since my clomid days...  good times!  I also have just about every other issue under the sun affecting my fertility - I've got endometriosis, adenomyosis (where the endometrial tissue grows through the muscular wall of the uterus) and most recently I was diagnosed with asherman's syndrome - where I have a web of scar tissue lining the inside of my uterus.  All of which has been diagnosed one step at a time, since being diagnosed with PCOS (and AFTER I took all the clomid!)  It's been a very frustrating journey, because with each new doctor (been through four) I'd find out something else was wrong and that's why the previous fertility treatments haven't worked.  But as of my last surgery in Oct, when they found the scar tissue web, I think we finally found (and temporarily fixed) all the pieces of the puzzle.  So now I'm back in gung-ho TTC mode, before everything grows back and I need a third surgery.  I have NOT given up!!!  And neither will you!  I know it will happen for you!

I really hope that your TTC journey is a short one (I've seen it happen here PLENTY of times with women with PCOS).  I'm pretty sure there was a use Foreverpoppy that got pregnant on her second try with clomid.  Best of luck - let me know if you have ANY questions!

I have pcos too, i am on metformin but not clomid yet since I am ovulating and my doctor wants me to lose weight before taking clomid to help.

I just ovulated yesterday for the 5 time in a row so this is my 5th cycle since starting metformin. and i have insulin resistance so I am on a 20 or less carb diet and have 41 pounds left to lose after losing 37
