Pain in lower abdomen.

I know we all tend to overanalyze and all of the symptoms that we have, and I've just become one of those people :) I'm 7.5 weeks pregnant after IVF and my first u/s last week showed a properly developing embryo with a strong heartbeat. Over the past few days, though, I've been feeling sharp twinges in my lower abdomen - they feel like they're right on top of my pubic bone. They just come and go; yesterday I had them what felt like all day and today morning also. Of course, I'm starting to freak out :( I know it's too early for my uterus to start stretching, so it's not that. I really hope I'm overreacting, but at the same time I'm starting to get worried, should I? :(

Thanks for your response. No, there is definitely one baby only. My pain sounds kind of like what you're describing, but it seems it would be too early for the ligament pain for me   :( I'll call my dr. today just in case, thanks!

Was there only one baby? I started having rould ligament pain at 9 weeks and am currently 14 weeks with twins. My OB said it starts earlier with twins. My pain is right above my pubic bone and off to one side. If I do any bending or streching it makes it worse. I would call your OB if the pain continues.
