Male infertility ?

Hi everyone :) ...DH and I are doing our first IUI in about 2 weeks. I should be starting AF tomorrow. I'm really nervous. I keep trying to convince myself to wait one more month to do our IUI. I make up excuses. I'm really looking for success stories. I need some extra support. I keep trying to tell myself if I think positive, positive things will happen. Tonight I went to a company picinic for DH's  work and a girl there was pregnant and she kept talking about how she cant wait to have a beer. Ahhhh... I wish I was pregnant and not drinking a beer. Does anyone have any success stories with MIF or IUI? I need the support. Thank you :)

kikicoates- I am so happy that you and DH found out why the IUI's aren't working. Did they do a laproscopic surgery and clean you up inside? I'm hoping IUI is our answer. Thank you

rayann-  I hope that everything works out and you and DH have a plan soon on TTC. I have been an emotional mess and it doesn't help that AF should be starting today! So, DH and I decided earlier that we would wait till October for first IUI, but now I think we might do it this month. I have to figure it out when AF starts!

yes ma'am my dh has been to the urologist to ck 4 the varicocele but he was fine no problems there. the doc told us that poor morphology can b caused by testicular abnormalities that are present at birth (congenital), enlargement of veins within the scrotum (varicocele), high fever, illicit drug use or infections.  My dad-n-law mentioned 2 me that my dh had a fever of 105 when he was baby which could b the cause. My dh also had elevated white blood cells n his semen so the doc prescribed him doxycycline but they were still elevated at the next SA. Poor guy jus has alot goin against him :-(  But overall ur dh's SA doesn't sound that bad at all. He has decent count n morphology...the only thing that's low is the motility so i think an IUI would work out great 4 u 2 :-D

You will not know till you try! Remember all women are different, and every circumstance is a little different. I think I have told you b4 about my IUI"s but after seeing a RE and doing further tests, we figured out the problem was me not DH. I have scar tissue surrounding my overy (i only have one). It is acting as a net catching my eggs so they can not enter my tube. That is why mine were unsucsessful. So I think IUI is a very good procedure and relatively inexpensive compared to the alternitives! I think Tanker cick had a succsessful iui first try, now she is tryin again! Good luck dear!

I went off BCP about 5 years ago. We just got married a little over a year ago and a few months after we were married I went to a RE. I thought I would be the one with the problem so I was SHOCKED when it was DH. DH's count is any where between 15 million and 20 million. His Motility is about 33% and his morphology was 20%. Has your DH seen a Urologist to find out why his morphology was lower? I know what you mean about keeping your guard up. My DH has a varicocele and the RE says that we shouldn't get it corrected. When I read stuff online there is alot of success stories after the varicocele surgery. DH and I decided today that were going to wait one more month to do our IUI.

Hi! My dh n i also have MIF. My dh has high count 120million but borderline motility 53% n poor morphology 1%-3%. How long have u been ttc? It's 6yrs for us :-( Our fertility doc told us jus 2 skip right over the IUI n go straight for the IVF since the mophology was so terrible. If you don't mind me asking, what was ur dh's morphology? Has ur doc told u what ur chances r of conceiving via IUI?  I'm always so skeptical tho cuz i used 2 work 4 a doc n they're always trying 2 make as much money as possible. So i don't know whether we really don't have a shot w/ IUI or if she jus wants 2 to go straight 2 IVF cuz she'll b pocketing way more cash. Ugh i know i shouldn't think like that but i jus can't help myself. I always have my guard up w/ docs. But i do wish u the BEST OF LUCK w/ the IUI !!!!!!!
