Motrin after IUI

Yesterday I had my 1st IUI.  About 7 hours after the procedure, I took Motrin.  I had such bad cramping I couldn't sleep.  After reading on line today, I realize it's not good to take Motrin/Advil.  The dr never mentioned what I can and cannot take.  Does anyone have any thoughs on this?

Thank you both for the information.  I only took the Motrin once, so hopefully it didn't do any damage.  I'll know by the end of the week whether or not we are pregnant.
Thanks!!

If you have any pain try tylenol or its generic. I had my IUI on Monday and had cramping. I wouldn't worry, just don't use it again.
sending you lots of babydust

any NSAID such as motrin is thought to interfere with implantation and should be avoided.
