No IUI this cycle - Follicles look good - thin uterus lining

Hello ladies,

I won't be do IUI this cycle due to my lining is so thin.  Last thursday (4/3) when I went to have sonogram, I have 4 good size follicles (22x20). On Thursday (4/4) u came back to have another sonogram and doctor found 5 mature follicles but the lining wasn't change at all.  It's .4cm.  Doctor asked me to come back today (4/7) to have another sonogram to make sure the lining is thick before she does IUI.  Well, my lining isn't get any better. it's .46cm.  Doctor won't do IUI becuase she doesn't want to waste my money.  

2 out of 5 follicles have been ruptured.  I have only 3 follicles (27x26) left.  Doctor suggests me BD tonight and every other day.  I don't have any hope for this cycle at all. Today is my CD14 and I should ovulate tonight or late tomorrow night.  I will try BD to see what happen.  Even though i conceive, but the lining is not thick enought for the eggs to implant.  :-(

SSBD who are in 2ww.  I know myself I am out this cycle.

that really sucks about your lining. Don't you hate when you have no hope this cycle! I am on CD 17 which would be the day  for my IUI and O but I of course can't do it because my doctor made me take this month off...jerk. Who knows maybe you will get lucky and have a little unexpected miracle. I'll be out again next month due to my scheduled laparoscopy.

Clomit makes the linig thin for most of the women.But maybe you're not yet out for this cycle. I have gottten pregnant 3 times with timed BD even though my re wanted to do IUI. So don't give up yet hope. Prometrium makes your lining thicker so maybe it will work. But i agree not doing clomit next time, injectables are much more better. Good luck

I am so sorry about clomid making your lining so thin.  I hope that a different protocol with femara and follistim will work better for you.

Yes, medicine did make my lining thin.  I am on clomid 150mg.  Today doctor did confirm with me that clomid make my uterus lining thin.  She said if this cycle i do not conceive, next cycle she will put me on femara along with follistim.  

hopefully next cycle will be it.  I will be done if i do not conceive by next cycle.  I am so tired and so worn out from all of this.

Thank you honey for your encouraging words.  I love you ladies!  Keep your chin up...you certainly are not out this month.  That lining has a great chance of thickening up.  It ain't over till it's over!

Yes, i do take prometrium.  doctor believe i will ovulate tomorrow.  I will take prometrium on 3DPO which this friday (4/10).  You are right, hopefully I will get my lining thick by then.  

Next cycle doctor plan to put me on fermera with follistim.  hopefully my  lining get better.  Since I didn't do IUI this cycle, I will try one more cycle.  After next cycle if i do not conceive, i will stop trying and let's it happen on its own.  

mommyof3andhopefully4 - i am sorry to hear that.  usually when we do IUI, we have higher chance to get pregnant.  I truely don't understand why.  last month same thing happen to me.  I did IUI and didn't conceive.  As long as AF is not show up, you are still having hope there.  i will keep my fingers cross for you.

did they tell you why is your lineng so thin this time?maybe is the medications?

Awww, I'm so sorry.  I am pretty sure I am out this cycle too.  I did my 14 dpIUI HPT this morning and it was a BFN.  I am so bummed.  I just don't understand.  I have no reason why I can't conceive again.

Oh, BabyBlue! I'm so sorry you didn't get your IUI. Will you be taking progesterone supplements after O? Maybe you could ask your doctor about that. Form what I've understood, progesterone will continue to thicken your lining as the eggie is traveling down the fallopian tube. Maybe by the time it gets there, it will be thick enough for implantation.

I hope things work out for you this month. Even if you're not taking a supplement, maybe your natural progesterone will thicken the lining. I hope so!
