No Ovulation???

In my quest to ttc, i have noticed that i havent seen the clear 'egg white' discharge in a very long time.i do however have all the other signs which include enlarged breasts, high temperature, correct cervical position and texture, mood swing etc.

in the absence of the discharge, does it mean ovulation does not take place at all?

will greatly appreciate responce.

thanks

tina is right although if you are trying to conceive you would want to talk to a doctor about why this lack of CM is happening. Have him check hormones etc. If you are having the temp. shift and it is strong and obvious chances are good that you are ovulating. That being said, lack of Cervical Mucus may not stop you from getting pregnant but it can definitely hurt your chances and if it is there your chances are much higher. Also it can signal a hormonal imbalance or lack of ovulation as you suspect so if it continues don't simply ignore it! There are other causes for scant mucus such as being overweight, underweight, sleeping in a room with lots of night lighting like an abnormally bright digital clock(sounds crazy i know but night lighting has been proven to affect the cycles of some women based on their sensitivities). Also a lack of mucus can signal a weak hormonal shift which could mean you could be ovulating but you may not sustain the pregnancy etc.  Again, not something that is for sure, but enough reason to keep track and look into if you are ttc. Also if you keep your temp records they can also give lots of info regarding the strength of your hormone shifts and what may be causing infertility. Good Luck!!

No, you can definitely still ovulate and not see the ewcm. It is called cervical mucous, because it is for nourishing the sperm INSIDE the cervix until the egg has released and the sperm are ready to fertilize. Sometimes it flows downward when in abundance. However, you can still have very fertile cm and not notice it.
