Have you talked to your doctor about why you are irregular? That is the best place to start. Some women start birth control pills for a short duration to kick start things which sounds counterintuitive when trying to conceive. But it's a process to regulate your system and get pregnant so you have to look at it as a long term project rather than something that will happen right away. Being irregular definitely complicates it. In my 20's, I was very irregular and it was due to a hormone imbalance in which I was naturally producing too much estrogen AND a slow functioning thyroid For me, it righted itself in a year and a half. I did no medical intervention as we were trying to figure out what to do and I was scheduled to see an endocrinologist --- and it was a long wait. While waiting, my system evened out. But I was working with my doctor the entire time. so, my suggestion is to discuss this with your doctor. good luck and let me know what you think of this.
