Hello,
Bleeding which is pinkish or brownish in color and more like spotting rather than menstruation is implantation bleeding which occurs when the fertilized ovum implants in the lining of the uterus. It can also be due to brownish spotting due to corpus luteum defect in early pregnancy which requires supplementation of progesterone hormone.
So discuss this possibility also with your doctor and get your pregnancy status checked by getting a serum HCG test done.

thanks.. the period lasted about three days.. and I was sick off and on.. throwing up and nausea.. and it was not psychosomatic sickness.. trust..
it was never a very heavy period.. a whole day to fill up a pad.. (I wore then this time..usually not) I feel better now.. and the period is over.. it is confusing. if I continue to get nausea.. I will see a doctor.. if not.. then I will call it a day and assume it was an early period..
do you agree? thank you for your response.
wow! thank you so much for your quick response. I will check it out.. I think I will wait until my actual period is due.. (at the end of the month.) and see how I feel.. take an EPT then.. and go to the doctor..

in the meantime.. until I know.. I am going to wean myself off all my addictions.. coffee.. alcohol.. etc.. I have already started to do that. I take Cymbalta.. I am thinking to stop that as well.. I do take synthroid.. so that will stay and I am starting to take folic acid and multivitamins..
what do you think of cymbalta? how to get off? there are side effects to just quitting.. but I will do that cold turkey if needed.. I hope the monistat didnt hurt anything either.. again.. until I know forsure either way.. its rather confusing
Hello,
Cymbalta has to be tapered off in dose and then stopped as stopping the medicine suddenly can cause withdrawal effects which are undesirable. You should consult your doctor and get Cymbalta tapered off in dose.

Hi.. One last question.. when do I take my EPT test? If my period had acted as it normally would.. I would have gotten it tomorrow.. But I am sure it will not come tomorrow.. so do I check then? OR 28 days after the "period that I had?" I am confused..
also.. I have a slight but consistent lower back pain.. and I feel gassy.. both.. not normal for me.
thanks

So I'm normally 24-26 days on my period. Last month I started the 7th and again the 24th. It's normally 3 day, but the 24th was 6-7 days long and very heavy. What does it mean?
Hi I've got my period last nov 2 2012 and I had unprotected sex on 14,I'm expecting my period this nov 30 but it didn't come! I usually have 28 days cycle and I've never been delayed or so whatever but this time I was supposed to be 2 days delayed but woke up this morning with blood in my underwear but I'm very much bothered because it is not that heavy like my menstruation period.. I took pt and it says negative... Pls help me guys..I'm really freaking outM.idk what to do..am I pregnant?
Chances are more that it is implantation bleeding or bleeding in early pregnancy. But to confirm whether this bleeding is of early pregnancy or due to your periods, it is best to get your serum HCG levels checked.
