Period after Mirena removal

I had my Mirena removed November 5th, 2010. I had had it since July of 2007. My doctor told me to wait at least a month before me and my husband started trying to have another baby. ( I have 2 children already and had no problems conceiving) My problem is that I have yet to have a period or any type of bleeding since it has been removed. I was never regular with my cycle before the IUD and never had a period while on it. I have taken about 4 HPT and they have all came back negative. I need all the help I can get!!! I am having those pregnancy symptoms that I had with my previous 2. I was never sick or nauseous with them so I don't have that symptom. Please help

I seriously thought something was wrong with me because I hadn't had a period in 10 weeks. But on the 19th something just didn't feel right. So I thought I would go ahead and take a test and if it came back negative again I was going to the doctor the next day. This had been going on too long. But it came back positive. My husband was more excited than I was!!!. Hopefully you will get some answers soon.

I had my mirena removed on Dec. 16, 2010 and I have not had a period since. I had heavy bleeding the day after it was removed that lasted 5 days. My husband and I have been ttc since so I am hoping I am pregnant but hpt says negative. Wish someone could wave a magic wand and tell me when I will actually have a period or am I pregnant.

Thanks. I am calling my doctor today to see exactly what she would like for me to do. I had no problems getting pregnant with my first 2.

A doctor may need to give you some meds to jumpstart your cycle.  I've heard a few women on here that had this happen to them.  I don't think its anything to worry about physically speaking, but it is a hassle when you are ttc. Good luck with ttc!
