Please help =[

Period for the last two months:
March 16th-19th
April 22nd-26th
On May 4th i noticed a little blood on the toilet paper, mostly brown but a little red and pink
I didn't really notice anything on the 5th,
On the 6th when i woke up i noticed spots of blood on my panties, and there was a significant amount of blood on the toilet paper once again mostly brown,
It's now the 9th, and it looks like the amount of blood is starting to increase
I thought it could be ovulation spotting? But it's been going on for six days...
Any ideas?
My partner and i have been trying to conceive
& I've never had anything like this happen before,

Here's what I found on mid-cycle BLEEDING:

"Mid cycle bleeding happens in almost 30% of the women and is thought of as normal. A sudden increase and fall in the estrogen level during the ovulation period weakens the endometrium thus causing the bleeding. This is considered normal and the patients are usually given estrogen supplements. The most common cause for mid cycle bleeding in a healthy woman is attributed to the change in estrogen levels in the body. Mid cycle bleeding can also occur in women who have some other problems and in such cases the bleeding is a little too heavy when compared."

And this was what it said on mid-cycle SPOTTING:

"Mid cycle spotting occurs ten to fourteen days prior to the commencement of the next cycle and is considered to be normal. Mid cycle spotting is considered to occur during ovulation period and is a normal phenomenon, it is in fact considered as a potential fertility indication. As mid cycle spotting occurs right during the ovulation period it helps in calculating the peak period of fertility."

Hmmm...that is weird. I'm not really sure either. The timing seems like it would be around ovulation, like you said, but it doesn't make sense that it has been going on for several days now if it was in fact ovulation spotting. I did look it up online, however, and it seems to be fairly normal; unless it is very heavy. But since you're trying to get pregnant, I would probably suggest that you call and tell your doctor about it, especially if it continues in future cycles...just in case your hormone levels are off. Hopefully it's just an "off" cycle this month.
