Pregnancy after HSG

Hey Everyone!

It is nice to read all of the support from each and every person. I just wanted to let everyone know that I had the HSG test done this morning. I did not take any pain medication prior to the test (as this was not told to me) and did not have any discomfort/pain/pressure during the procedure. Luckily, everything looked great and my tubes were "clear!" However, about ten minutes after the procedure, I got significant cramping as I walked to my car. I began to get hot and light headed but made it home alright. The cramping only lasted for about a half hour but was very uncomfortable. I've never really had menstrual cramps in the past so I am not sure if it was comparable.

My Dr says that having HSG done increases our chances of conceiving! Not sure why, but it's already been 18 months of TTC so I guess we don't have much to lose at this point. It seems as if a lot of others have heard this as well and I am interested in reading research as to how long and what percentage does this test actually increase fertitlity?! I wish lucky and baby dust to each and everyone of you! Good Luck!!
