ovulated.. still no period

I took an ovulation test on day 13 of my cycle and got a positive! We had sex around that time. I'm now 36 days into my cycle and no period. Took a test yesterday which was negative. I've seen that a normal 28 day cycle is supposed to have an ovulation time of around cd14.. And 30 day cycle a cd16 ovulation.. Etc. so shouldn't I have had my period by now? Anyone else experience this by chance? Thanks!

Thanks tasha! I know my body was adjusting to coming off the pill. It took 2months to get my first period after coming off of it. Doctor said to start testing for ovulation on day 11... And sure enough got my positive on day 13.  If my cycle was supposed to be this long.. I figured I would've ovulated later. This waitng game is horrible lol

You may  have tested to early wait a few more days till about day 46 and you should get a positive by then if it is, if not it maybe your body readjusting itself, u know sperm have hormones in it and are pretty strong and can throw our bodies out of wack to wait a Lil bit more and see what happens...good luck

I mean i would understand if my cycle was longer and still adjusting to coming off the pill months ago.. But I ovulated. So I should have started my period by now I would think.. Or gotten a positive.
