Pregnant or reaction to Metformin?

Two weeks i began taking Metformin to help regulate insulin levels due to my PCOS. I have been slowly increasing dosage and am up to 250mg per day.

I am currently 9DPO and the past four days i have been feeling dizzy, have had a headache that won't go away, i'm constipated, have increase appitite, feeling really cold and feeling exhausted and yesterday i actually passed out in the shower.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what's going on with me?

Thanks ladies. I can't get into the doctors until friday but the nurse said to take it easy and if i pass out again, i need to go to ER. I actually feel like AF is coming. It's scary because i have never felt so weird before and being dizzy is scary.

Thanks for your input.

I have been taking metformin for a little over 2 years, and I don't recall when I started it if I had the symptoms you  do. I am taking 500mg 3 times a day. I know that it gave me the diarrhea.I became pregnant, so maybe you have become pregnant? I started mine at the end of Aug. 2006 and found out at the beginning of Oct 2006 that I was pregnant. But ended in a m/c. I hope this was a little bit helpful. I also hope this is a BFP!!! Good Luck

Hi, I can't really say I have the answer to your question but I hope this helps.
I took metformin a while back coz my doc suspected I had PCOS but I didn't think I had it coz I had none of the symptoms. Anyway, the first cycle I took it, I reacted strongly to it. I don't really recall most of the symptoms but I think feeling lightheaded was one of them. I didn't get pregnant then.
This is not to say you might be pregnant but passing out in the shower is pretty serious. Maybe you could do a hpt and if its not positive, you need to see your doc because these symptoms are a bit too severe to be ignored.
I hope this helps and I wish you a BFP!!!
