Progesterone Blood test at 8dpo?

I called the doc today because it is 7dpo and i wanted to get my progesterone checked to see if i did indeed ovulate. they want me to check it tomorrow at 8dpo is this normal? i have low progesterone so maybe they are waiting an extra day for it to build but i havent heard of anyone else doing it a 8 dpo. any answers are much appreciated. thanks

i would ask them to do the test. that may be the problem i dont hink i have had it done either. i will ask about it when i go in an wend. maybe its not needed:) tell your uterus to quite being so mean and let those swimmers in:) now why is a doctors office closed more then one day after a holiday. as far as i know vaginas dont take a vacation do they?:)

They never even mentioned a post coital test. It very well could be my mean uterus fighting back :) HAHAHAAHAAHHAHAHAHHAHA!!! I am waiting for the other RE to call me back to see when they could get me in. I should hear back before Friday. They are off until Thursday.

have you had the post coital test done? where they want you to come in after having sex to see if you cervical fluid is killing off his sperm? i would have that done before IUI it might not me needed. its amazing what a doc will charge. and half of the time i think that i know more then the docs. i think that you have every right to b-i-t-c-h and i am hear to listen and rant and rave with you:)

Thanks for "grrrrr" ing with me :) You always help make me smile!! Now I am kicking myself for not getting my OB to prescribe JUST ONE MORE MONTH of clomid. Should have done it but thought there was no reason with me having the HSG and all. Kicking myself in the butt right now :)

The Bart and Homer thing is EXACTLY how I pictured it except I saw the woman's head actually POP! Hee hee.

Then the nurse says "Well, we will get you straight next month and then we can follow that with the IUI the next month". I was so pissed that I said "we will see - I will make that decision when we get there". I do not understand why they are pushing for the IUI. DH sperm is great and ALL of my tests came back perfect. So, besides the PCOS, there should be NO reason why I can't get preggo unless there is a tube problem....WHICH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN BY NOW IF THE NURSE WASN'T SO STUPID!!! She is like 100 years old and from NY. Sorry I am still a bit peeved.I think I may find a different clinic. I am just so mad at them I don't think I can look her in the face again. I might hit her old ***.

All I need is something that will get me to ovulate. I think they are just out to make money cuz they make about $1500 for every IUI. I have to pay about $500 for each IUI. But then again, what if that is the only way to get pregnant? Will it make it faster? Up the chance? Oh hell, I am so mad I don't even want to think about it. I just hope I O this month on my own.....

OMG i cant believe that!!! what in the hell were they thinking!!! i am so mad for you. but i am kinds giggling cause i am invsioning Homer and Bart Simpson when the dad strangles the son. I wish you had gone and i was there to watch that would be a great show:) sometimes i think that the nurses that docs hire arefresh out of nursing school and ahve no clue what is going on or they didnt even go to school. But i am SOOOO sorry that this is happening to you. i understand the money thing we will probably make 60 grand this year but we are is such debt that it is more like what you make. so we feel your pain i had to come up with a grand before they would start any treatment. it works like an account though everything i get done gets taken out of the money until its wrung dry!! But i am sure you will figure out something and get it done:) but i guess you dont have to worry about if you have oed or not.

Again i am so sorry that really blows...grrrrrr!

I am ready to KILL SOMEONE!!!!! That stupid flippin nurse screwed up! She didn't tell me to stop taking the metformin - THAT SHE JUST PUT ME ON LESS THAN A WEEK AGO!!!!- 2 days in advance before the HSG. It can cause kidney infections if you don't stop it - blah blah blah....So this month is a bust. She kept apologizing and all I kept seeing in my head was me squeezing her freakin neck til her damn head popped off!!! I am sooooo PISSED right now. SHe better be lucky I wasn't driving all the way down there when she called or I would have kept driving and kicked her ***!!!! So, this month is a bust and now I have to wait ANOTHER flippin month!!! OMG!!! I am so mad. Does she not realize how scared I was - now I have to wait ANOTHER month and obsess over it for 30+ days. UGH - I just can't explain how mad I am right now!!! (Though I think you get a pretty good idea!!!)

On top of that. When I go in Feb to have it done, I have to pay my flippin deductible in full - PLUS 30% - That's going to be like $400. I am a teacher - I don't make **** and then half of what I make goes towards insurance and taxes!! I barely make 15-18 grand after that! Where the hell am I supposed to get $400 extra dollars. That's why I was so happy to get it done on the 31st of dec. My ded. is already paid for the year. New ded. starts over tomorrow. Ugh - insult to injury. Ok - I am done ranting and raving....
