Second IUI

Hello All,

I am giving it another go. We were not successful with our first IUI in March, so now we are trying again. I am anxious, but at least this time I know what to expect. Last time my body went into overdrive, I was convinced I was pregnant... damn hormones. Anyway, I went in for the baseline ultrasound on Wed, started my Clomid and will go in again on the 14th IUI probably on for the 16th. Wish me luck!

AF started yesterday.  I went in today for beta and to get ready for my next cycle of treatments and found out I have 4 large cysts, so I have to sit this cycle out.  I am at the end of my ropes.

Hey there. I am so sorry to hear that it was negative. I am supposed to take mine on Saturday, but I going to do it on Sunday instead. I am chaperoning a school dance on Saturday and don't really want to be down the entire evening if it's negative.
I understand your feelings about others being pregnant. We have been trying for almost two years at this point. When we told my brother-in-law we were trying about a year ago, he said that they were going to start trying too... two months later they were pregnant and they just had their baby. It seems like it's easy for everyone else, doesn't it?

I missed my beta appointment this morning because I was out of town, but I just did one of those cheap pregnancy tests and it was negative!  I'm frustrated today I am 13dpo/iui.  I found out my sister in law is pregnant with her first baby.  I'm happy for her but it hurts that it's so hard for me to get pregnant this time around.

I'm feeling slightly better today, but I've still got this constant backache, especially on my left side.  I honestly think I have a mild case of OHSS, but I can deal with it.  I'm glad your IUI went well yesterday, try not to worry about the sperm count.  Remember, all it takes is one egg and one sperm to fertilize it!!!  Good luck!!!

Ah... that would be nice. How are you doing? Feeling okay? How's the backache? My IUI went well yesterday, but my husband's sperm count was low, 4mio that were ready to go, and the doc wasn't very optimistic. After my disappointment last time I am being very careful about reading anything into what my body is doing right now. Most of it's hormones, so I feel like I can't really trust what's going on with me.

BFP means big fat positive (a positive pregnancy test).

Okay, I am ignorant... What's a BFP? As far as the backache goes: yes I had backpain, especially after starting the progesterone treatment. My several reproductive parts were not happy with all the hormones. I was experiencing some discomfort this time around as well after the Clomid, but that has gotten better.

Wow---your follicle sizes sound great!  Good luck to you as well!  I am having some major back pain, especially on my left side.  Did you have some type of pains after your first IUI?

Let us know how everything goes tomorrow.  I had my IUI on yesterday.  I wonder how big my follicles got because before trigger they were 1.9, 1.8, 1.6, 1.6, 1.5, 1.4 and a few smaller ones.  The IUI went well.  I was told my husband's sperm count was  22 million, and, so wish me luck.  I am officially in my 2ww.  I've been having some back pain and cramping, but other than that, everything seems pretty good.

Thanks for all the love! I am going to count eggs (follies) tomorrow and then the IUI should happen on Saturday. Here's hoping....

We weren't successful with IUI number 1 either.  We did injectibles this round and ended up a bit too successful - 6 mature follicles.  The doc doesn't want to proceed because of the risk for multiples.  It's hard to be told that after something that finally seemed to work.

To ejwife, I'm surprised your doc agreed to go ahead given the number of possible mature follicles.  Mine are 14-19 mm and mine said he recommended against it.  Very disappointing!

Good luck!  I have my first IUI on Tuesday and I've very anxious about it.  Today my follicles were 1.9, 1.8, 1.6, 1.6, 1.5, and 1.4  I had some other small ones.  My estradiol level was 1355, so I trigger tonight.  I just hope all my follicles are mature by the time I ovulate.  What do you think?

Good luck honey. I had my first IUI on March 28th 2011, and i am schedule to test tomorrow. I dont think I will have to due to the fact that AF is trying to show her ugly face. I am so sad idk what to do.I guess the only thing I can say is better luck next for me and you. SENDING STICKY BABY DUT YOUR WAY....
