Anxious about HPT

I am 9DPO today.  On 7DPO, I had a temp dip below coverline.  I am thinking this is an implantation dip, but I know that is not reliable.  I know that for a HPT to be really reliable, I should wait till AF is expected to test.  BUT I CAN'T HARDLY STAND IT!!!  I want to test today.  I am so anxious.  But at the same time, I don't want to test and be disappointed if its a BFN.  My AF is due in 5 days.  Will a HPT be accurate if I test today? What should I do.

I went ahead and tested today.  11 DPO.  Very faint hard to read negative.  I had another temp dip yesterday, and back up high again today.  I am disappointed in the negative, I guess just waiting to see if AF shows from here.  If not, I'll test again in a few days.

It's very hard to stop yourself from doing a HPT when trying to conceive. 9dpo is a bit early. I'd wait another day or 2 and then take a First Response one (the one that says 6 days before missed period). It seems to be pretty accurate. Good luck!!!

I made a rule to avoid wasting tests and going through BFNs. I only test if my temps stay elevated at 13 dpo and my af hasn't shown up. If I see my temps go down, then I know it's going to be a BFN. It saves you a lot of anxiety, and nerves are not something that helps while ttc.
Good luck, hope it's your month!

hpt's can show a faint + at 9 dpo, but I think it is really pretty rare.  Best to wait until 12 dpo.  That's only 3 more days!
