Hi,
Is there tests that can be done to determine causes of elevated FSH levels in young women? If so, what are these tests ?

Thanks for the help!!

My doctor says my results are normal that if it was above 12 I would need a egg donor. I disagree that my fsh levels are normal at my age though.

Ask your doctor about doing an AMH test - antimullerian hormone test.  This should give your doctor a better idea about your ovarian reserve.  You fsh seems high for a 25 year old so I can see your concern.  What does your doctor say?

Thanks for your response. My FSH on day 3 in January '09 was 9.8 then I took clomid days 5-9(for clomid challenge test) and day 10 it was 10.4 I got another FSH test done in July '09 on day 3 and it was 9.1
This doesn't make any sense at all to me considering I am only 25!!!! So that's why I was wondering if there was tests that could be done to find the cause.

There are blood tests that are done on certain days of your cycle such as cycle day 3.  That's usually the time a FSH test is done to see what your level is.  Remember too that levels can vary month to month so have a repeat test done if it seems high - hope this helps!
