Are you seeing a fertility specialist, and are you on prenatal vitamins? I'm 40 as well and would like to be expecting before I turn 41 this summer. I am diagnosed with Adenyomosis and we just started our 2nd IVF cycle. Be blessed in your journey.
No my doctor has not checked my eggs or my husbands sperm. But people tell me that due to me being a type 2 diabetic it will not happen and the tubal ligation reversal may have caused scoring and probably would be impossible to conceive. Do you think that's true?
Your doctor is right, it's all about patience. However, as you are into your 40s now it's a well-known fact that your fertility will be declining somewhat.
Has your husband been tested to check his sperm is as it should be? Are you tracking ovulation and having intercourse every other day from about cycle day 10-20? Doing all of the above will maximise your chances of conceiving, apart from that there is not much else you could do. Has the doctor said they will check to see how your eggs are looking?
