Uterine lining ?

Hello girls :) I had my follicle ultrasound today. I think my uterine lining was an 8. Is this too thin? I was on clomid for the last 2 cycles and I'm worried about my uterine lining getting too thin. Thank you :)

I'm having my IUI on wed at 11:00.. how exciting we can be TWW buddies.  You do realize that 14dpiui will be christmas eve don't you???

I was considering wrapping up a FRER hpt to be opened and used on christmas eve. I'm getting hcg booster shots, so I don't think I will be able to test early even if I want to.  The hcg booster shots are too keep progesterone levels up. You might ask your dr about it if you are worried about you progesterone level.

Best of luck to you!!!

Yes, I think most doctors have women take progesterone support like the vaginal cream after IUIs.  It can only improve your chances, so why not?  When I got pregnant a few years ago with my son, I did nto take progesterone at all after the IUI, but now, a few years later, they are reccommending that I take it because they do not know what effect the Ganirelix (the shot given to prevent early ovulation) has on progesterone levels.  I would suggest taking it because it can only help.  It does have side effects that make you feel like you are pregnant but it is worth it if you do get pregnant.  Good luck!  I hope the IUI works for you so you don't have to go onto IVF.

Thank you girls :) You guys made me feel better. I'm doing an IUI Wednesday and Thursday. I was given the HCG trigger shot this morning. I have 2 good follicles. They are both on my right side. I asked if this was okay that their both on the same side and my RE said yeah. Do any of you take progesterine after your IUI's? I was thinking about asking about it. If this cycle doesn't work were talking about doing IVF next month so I'm hoping it works :)

8 is good.  Mine has never been 8.  Even when I conceived my son.  In my opinion, they put a lot of focus on that because it is like the new trend in infertility.  Everything that I have read says they really don't know, they just believe there are optimum/ideal conditions.  So if it is thin, it doesn't mean you won't get pg, it just means the situation 'may' not be ideal.  Also, there is also no real reliable way to measure it.  There is a lot of error with unterine lining and u/s measurements.  My RE kept wanting to focus on my uterine thickness and give me meds to help thinken it up, I finally told him, I don't care how thick it is. I want to just go with it the way it is.  I conceived my son that way and believe I will again.  Best of luck to  you!!

Are you doing IUI, IVF or BDing this cycle?  When is the big O day?

Mine was thinner at the time of the trigger and I got my bfp.  I think that anything above 7 is a good number.  Besides, your lining will get better as you approach O.
Good luck!
